Ah... the much awaited F1 event is finally over. Let's get back to our daily routines. And mine would be?? Sleep, Wake Up, Eat, Surf Net, Music, TV, Sleep. I'm so slacking my life away. But this is actually all my well-deserved annual leave. Don't I? After slogging my butt off at work for almost 4 years at that company, only to realize all my hard work is not appreciated at all. Even after I call it 'quits'. Opps, no depressing entries right.

If anyone has watched the F1 race yesterday, it was jam packed with dramas. The worst for me is Massa driving off with his fuel pipe still attached to the car. The wait for the technicians to pull it off at the end of the pit lane must be decades to him. And the run to Massa was like a marathon. Funny in a very sadist way. Well, thankfully nobody got hurt. Safety always comes first.

"This is a very dangerous sports" quoted by my colleague.... DUH!
Ok... from now on, positive entries only. It's taking forever for Cleo to send me the Batam photos. So I'll upload the BBQ event @ Chris' place first.

The Mentally Challenged Colleague

Gals only...

Me, Rachel, Sarah aka JJ, Ella aka Sotong

Love them to bits

The dude behind is not a ghost. He is my ex-colleague Khaz.

Everyone at the BBQ.

Our chefs working hard all night to bring us cooked food.

And not forgetting the birthday gal... Koots!
In a hospitality industry, everyone knows that there is no such thing as "I don't know". It's always "Let me check for you". But apparently, such 'rules' does not apply to my workplace (soon to be ex-workplace *thankfully*). If the staff here encounters some problems, we always rely on the manager who is suppose to be more experience and have better judgement. Right?...

Wrong!

Me: "My guest wanna change his booking from Club Room to Deluxe Room. What is the rate for tomorrow?"
Mgr: "I don't know. Just tell the guest we are full, cannot change."
Me: "The guest already asked if we are full, I already told him we are not."
Mgr: "I don't know, I don't have the rate."
Me: "Then what should I tell the guest?! If you don't have the answer, tell me who I should look for at least."
Mgr: "Check with so-and-so"

Yup... they always say... F1 period, high rates, give better service..... RIGHT!

I dun know why but I've been reading novels based in Middle East. It's weird. Books I receive at work to read (Mostly lost & found items or gifts from guest). Almost all of them are set in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Israel, Saudi Arabia etc. I just finished reading 'The Last Secret of the Temple' by Paul Sussman. This book was given to me by a colleague at work. Recenty I also read 'A Thousand Splendid Suns' which I bought on my way to Macau. It was about Afghanistan woman. Last year, I bought a book 'The Looming Towers' about the terrorist behind the twin tower attack. Now, I'm starting on my new book 'The Circuit' which is a true account of an ex-SAS soldier's. And what do you know, the first few pages are maps of Middle East.

Is this a sign? Haaa... I'm starting to understand a little bit about their culture and their beliefs. Of course I'm sticking to my own religion still. But my heart goes out to those who lives on provelty and all. War... brings you nothing but pain and suffering.

And here I am, whining about my sad life when people half way round the globe are fighting to survive. Shame on me.
I know I'm suppose to update about my trip to Batam. But half the photos are still with Cleo. I need to get it from her before doing a complete summary. Till den, I'm pretty much surviving, anticipating my last working day at OHS and TVXQ's 4th album to be delivered to my doorstep.

Back from Batam. Update soonest~ I promise.
犬と私の10の約束 《狗狗与我的十個約定》

1. Give me time to understand what you want of me.
2. Place your trust in me. It's crucial to my well-being.
3. Be aware that however you treat me I'll never forget it.
4. Before you scold me for being lazy, ask yourself if something might be bothering me.
5. Talk to me sometimes. Even if I don't understand your words, I do understand your voice when it's speaking to me.
6. Remember before you hit me, I have teeth that could hurt you, but that I choose not to bite you.
7. Take care of me when I get old.
8. You have your work, your entertainment, and your friends. I have only you.
9. My life is likely to last 10 to 15 years. Any separation from you will be painful for me.
10. Go with me on difficult journeys. Everything is easier for me if you are there. Remember I love you...

美好的時光不會是永久的。我會珍希剩下的時間,記的妳們帶給我溫暖的笑容。
謝謝你們的愛。
Woohoo~! Finally a day off from work where I can really rest at home and not buzzing around town or on an airplane. As you all know, I just got back from Macau last week. I intended to buy a pillow for neck support, but in the end, I bought a soft doggie. Haaa~ its just right for hugging and pillow support. Haven't name it yet... any idea? LoL~

During my trip to Macau, there were lotsa mixed feelings and such. Thoughts of giving up, morale plummeted all the way to the centre of the earth, self-doubts and stuff. Maybe we ain't good enough. Maybe it's just not right. We wouldn't be able to make it. It's a very difficult uphill climb for me right now. BUT, I'm determine to push forward and give it my all. It is afterall one of my goals in life to venture overseas and learn to be independent. I should consider myself very lucky to have my colleagues along with me, giving each other support and encouragement. I must give thanks. ^^

Last monday, I skipped my Jap Class (deserve a spank for that) and hang around starbucks waiting for my other colleagues to finish work. Chat and Gossip a bit. Share each's unhappiness at work. My ex-colleague join us thereafter. He showed us around his new workplace.

One of their Suite rooms. Lovely furniture... very zen.

I love their chandelier

Koots!

Their 'F4' rooms. Which means for family. Hugh.
