In a hospitality industry, everyone knows that there is no such thing as "I don't know". It's always "Let me check for you". But apparently, such 'rules' does not apply to my workplace (soon to be ex-workplace *thankfully*). If the staff here encounters some problems, we always rely on the manager who is suppose to be more experience and have better judgement. Right?...

Wrong!

Me: "My guest wanna change his booking from Club Room to Deluxe Room. What is the rate for tomorrow?"
Mgr: "I don't know. Just tell the guest we are full, cannot change."
Me: "The guest already asked if we are full, I already told him we are not."
Mgr: "I don't know, I don't have the rate."
Me: "Then what should I tell the guest?! If you don't have the answer, tell me who I should look for at least."
Mgr: "Check with so-and-so"

Yup... they always say... F1 period, high rates, give better service..... RIGHT!
