I dun know why but I've been reading novels based in Middle East. It's weird. Books I receive at work to read (Mostly lost & found items or gifts from guest). Almost all of them are set in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Israel, Saudi Arabia etc. I just finished reading 'The Last Secret of the Temple' by Paul Sussman. This book was given to me by a colleague at work. Recenty I also read 'A Thousand Splendid Suns' which I bought on my way to Macau. It was about Afghanistan woman. Last year, I bought a book 'The Looming Towers' about the terrorist behind the twin tower attack. Now, I'm starting on my new book 'The Circuit' which is a true account of an ex-SAS soldier's. And what do you know, the first few pages are maps of Middle East.

Is this a sign? Haaa... I'm starting to understand a little bit about their culture and their beliefs. Of course I'm sticking to my own religion still. But my heart goes out to those who lives on provelty and all. War... brings you nothing but pain and suffering.

And here I am, whining about my sad life when people half way round the globe are fighting to survive. Shame on me.
