Shopping for fruits can be such a chore. Especially with choosey people.

Check out the Dracula Nails.

I had a great weekend.

Alright! As promised, here are some of the photos taken by my Daddy.

Erm... just woke up look. Haa

Unlike most family who usually will gamble, my family's entertainment is singing.

My mama with her brother and family.

A small part of the extended family. Relatives I'm closer with.

Oh ya, this year CNY is happening. KTV. I heard from dad just moments ago, mom and aunt is finding a place for ah ma to stay. At least it beats staying in a run down old folks home eh.
My 2nd day MC. Stuck at home. Gastric, what else. Got tons of pills to pop.

Waiting for my colleague to call and sort out some work stuff.

Chinese New Year wasn't as bad. I went to visit my grandma at the old folks with my mom on Friday. It was a last min decision to bring her home for 1 night. That decision caused a big hooha the following morning. Since it's just me and my mom, we had a bit of difficulty getting home with my wheelchair-bound grandma. Luckily, we met a kind-hearted taxi driver who bothers to help us. If my sis is around in town, it would have been easier since she drives.

That night, my 2nd aunt and uncle came over. They stayed for a while before grandma went to bed. The whole night my mom couldn't sleep me. I left my door open in case anything happens. And since I'm a light sleeper, I got woken up a lot of times. Grandma was groaning every 15 mins. Don't know why. The next morning, one big bunch of relatives came over. As Expected. Thankfully, its not some unknown-never-seen-before relatives.

My cousin told me she's sick of the drama. My mom did the brave thing and brought ah ma back. Next thing you know, everyone's pouring care and concern to my ah ma. Don't understand why they dump her in the old folks in the first place. And nobody brought her home for CNY. Den again, it's not my place to comment since I know nuts about what's going on.

Oh well...

(Photos later. Waiting for my dad to upload them.)

Last day of CNY was spend with my 2nd aunt and uncle, 5th aunt and uncle, cousins and my mom at KBox Hougang. We sing and sing from 2pm till 8pm. The older generation songs vs the younger generation songs. It was fun. I din wanna sing much since I think my aunts and uncles have a lesser chance of going ktv so let them sing their hearts out. But they keep forcing me to sing. KNS. Dun wanna let them heard the toad croak ~___~ It was fun thou. Oh, they have TVXQ's song too. They got 2! Rising sun and Unforgettable, in mandarin of course. Mei mei and her sis super high. Jump here and there. Mei mei even sang Liu De Hua's Gong Xi Fa Cai song. LMAO.

After the ktv, my gastric problem started acting up again. I read somewhere that people born in the year of the pigs must watch their health this year. I better start popping supplement pills. Vitamins!

CNY 2008

Bonjour! How's the CNY festival coming along? Receiving lotsa Red Packets? Haa... for me, I'm enjoying the break from work, resting at home, watching tons of dramas and movie.

Finally got to watch 'The Devil Wears Prada'. I've been craving for weeks to see it. It's not a big hit here but it's quite something. Ah... New York... Paris...

Anyway, went to Kovan during the eve with my parents to look at flowers. Not that I really fancy them, but I saw something for the first time (see below)

Such weird shapes. Is it a flower or fruit? Can't figure that out. Haa... and there were lotsa India workers there, doing their best selling off all the CNY season flowers. In fact, they seem to be having more fun than the shoppers.

Ok, back to my videos and books.
新年快乐!

什么态度

I think it's rather sad that I get to hear things like a people who's probably twice my age wanting to get back at me after I'm taking on a new role. Have I done you so much injustice to make you hate me so much? How about the mess I helped clean up after you. Not forgetting getting shoot at during the once a month meeting when everything goes wrong.

I hear more things about me with an attitude?! Giving a sulky face early in the morning. Alright, let's do just 1 case scenario:

You come to work happily and see the below:
1. Your table is messy (again)
2. 40 over emails unread (it's suppose to be monitored 24 hours)
3. There's no explanation or paperwork given for pending accounts
4. The guest name in the group is wrongly routed
5. The rate is wrong
6. A pile of minibar late charge to do
7. Other administrative work that has been pending for way too long
8. The phone keeps ringing
9. You hear things like: "Oh, the manager say cannot"
10. Everyone's looking for you for a solution
11. Oh ya, the stapler is missing again
12. What? Refund?

And the list goes on. Like what my EAM said, we have lotsa managers around. And he's never seen so many in 1 dept itself. But, who can we really rely on?

Why must everyone make me chase them for things. It's frustrating. And when you're frustrated with people around you, you dun smile. You naturally sulk cos you're in a bad mood. Ha... den you're labeled "Attitude". Thanks.

Where's your conscience? You push push push, I take take take.

People say respect your elders, I say respect those who deserve.

Note: I dun enjoy complaining one bit. But I really need to let it out.
Yes. I'm in a good mood today. Loading tons of new songs into my iPod. Simple things like that makes me happy. I seriously can't live without music. I listen to my ipod everywhere I go. If I have a choice I'll still plug in when my friends are around. But that's rude right. Music controls my mood. And it can calm me down. Dun believe? Haa... come to my office. Especially during days when I'm so uptight preparing for meetings, I plug in. To sooth the anxiety. It works. Music works miracle. Haa... I mean, who can live without music?

Alot of people actually. Take a look around you the next time you take a public transport. Only 1 out of 10 people are plugged in. Amazing...

Now where's that CD I wanna get... HMV doesn't have it. Darn. Not in Singapore yet? Double Darn.

Can't believe CNY is just around the corner. Holidays! I love...

Dim Sum + KTV

I met up with lin in town after work yesterday. It suddenly rain on us so we were stuck at Heeren. We grab some coffee at Spinelli while waiting for yin to finish her CNY shopping at Chinatown. We later head down to chinatown for dinner at some dim sum place.

Dim sum always reminds me of my Hong Kong trip with Shirin and Irene.

The BIG plate of noodles we fail to finish.

Lin was forcing me to finish the food. Argh....

We had a few hours before our KTV appointment at 10pm, so we took a walk around Chinatown to get the CNY feel...

This China guy was selling some hair accessories stuff. The way he talks is so freaking funny. Like going on and on saying the same thing.

The monkey going 'Eyi Eyi Eyi' and beat on it's drum swaying side to side... CUTE!

Not surprisingly, the place was CROWDED despite the drizzle.

We still had tons of time and it was too crowded for limping lin so we head back to yin's new home for a while. Her TV is BIG. Her 2 door Fridge is BIG. And I love her room's cupboard. Black... nice nice. Their ceiling fan freaks me out thou. (thinks: ghost story)

The KTV room is BIG too. Hmm... everything was big yesterday. Laughs. The place is like those hangouts for my mom's generation but damn, their songs are so updated! They even had TVXQ song. And their videos are all originals. Not like some other ktv place whereby english songs are those funny weird people walking in the park kind.

But I think they dun have much rooms so it'll be pretty hard to go there often. Oh ya, that place is own by yin's dad's friend. We din pay a dime... so embrassing, sing for free.

Before we left for the day, yin's dad's friends/relatives asked where I live and how I'm gonna get home stuff, and everyone was like... oohh Hougang is soo far. Haa... typical Singaporean reaction neh. Singapore is so small... it took me about 20 mins to get home last night? Expressway man. No worries alright. If we put aside traffic jams and all, it takes less than 30 mins to get to anywhere in Singapore. Boon Lay? Just next door. Haa

Looking forward to CNY, mahjong session with Lin & Yin and... Tony?!
My camera is in hibernating mode. More photos I promise...
Meanwhile, it's way past my bedtime and I have work tomorrow.
I din learn a new word today and have not done my routine. I'm so screwed. Till then~
