toopid fen woke me up early in the morning to inform me she’s got some company dinner and needs to delay out meeting time. ok… fine, just msg me lah. early in the morning want to hear my sexy voice is it. if i was still studying, i wunt even bother to pick up the call. but ever since i started working at front desk, i develop a habit to pick up calls even if i was still sleeping. few reasons why:

1. my manager might call to change my shift. not that i like to have my shift changed last minute but i can’t leave my colleagues in the lurch if someone is on medical leave right.

2. he might be calling me. i dun wanna miss another call from him.

3. a friend might be calling to tell me the biggest news/gossip about a certain sombody. you never know what’s gonna happen in the next minute right.

And speaking of that, ms fen actually called me while i was reading an interesting entry of someone’s blog. she ask if i could head down town right away. so being the very nice friend, i deserted my comp and jump right into the shower (but that’s after a 5 min debate on what to wear). But when I came out of the shower, I saw 2 msg, 1 miss call and 2 push msg (whatever that is). she change her mind again! she’s going for the company dinner afterall. And I’m all clean and dress up already. Argh… which explains why i’m writing this senseless entry here.

On a sidenote, my ex- Director of Sales called me this morning also. (din know she wanna hear my sexy voice too). Haa.. i was still half asleep so i couldn’t respond to her like a normal person would do. Apparently, she’s moved to Goodwood Park Hotel. And she was wondering if i would be interested in some admin work position. i was abit tempted to know more about that position but i’m quite happy with where i am, even thou alot of things are quite screw up. and i left my previous workplace because i couldn’t stand the administrative work and the routine working hours. so if i were to accept her offer, it’ll be back to square one right. but i was quite surprised she still remembers me. it’s been almost a year already. she’s really a nice boss, just too perfectionist.

i dreamt of him last night. a few more days and he’ll be back.

he hasn’t call since that day. is he really busy? or am i not important at all…

Yeah! The hotel room reservation has been confirmed. So now, I can officially declare that I’ll be staying over at my workplace (boring…) on sat. This is one helluva eventful weekend to look forward to. Friday evening, staff dinner & dance, following closely, my last midnight shift, den come morning when I knock off can check into my room and sleep there… (if there’s rooms available… if not I have to go sleep in the changing room!). Den the celebration for Lin’s birthday. Gotta make plans for the whole weekend cos it’s really packed. Maybe sat morning can squeeze in breakfast after work. Haa!

Happy things aside. Work was quite alright today, except that some money went missing and I found an unposted business centre voucher inside our bucket. Worst, the guest has checked out already. Apparently, someone put that voucher in without asking anyone to post the charges into that room. Now, we have to fork out the amount. $6.05 to be exact. I have nothing against trainees or temp staff but sometimes, their working attitude really piss me off. Do things slowly, dun listen, and screw things up. I remember the last time we had a few trainees attached to us, lotsa reg cards went missing cause it was not slot properly into the correct room number. Once time is up, they can leave everything behind and go home. No responsibility wat-so-ever. And during that period, 3 business centre voucher went missing, and everyone fork out money. 1 voucher cost 50 bucks. Crap…

Come this Friday, our hotel is having staff dinner & dance. The theme is ‘Happy Days Back to School’. Typical theme. I’ll be wearing my jie’s school uniform cause my mother throw away my sec uniform. *##%$@$^… See the ticket below? Quite nice right… not bad, the hotel is actually willing to spend such money. We also got a set of manicure box… got nail clipper, ear digger… haa. And ez-link card with our hotel logo. Cool… we also have lucky draw but I doubt anything will come out of that.

Hopefully, it’ll be fun. And after that, will be working midnight. And come morning, it’ll be Lin’s Birthday Party. Plans have not been finalise things yet… Haiz… headache… by the end of the week I should be a dead pig.

Brenda… wrong guess. Meritus.. if i’m not wrong has only 3 chains in singapore. Meritus Negara, Meritus Mandarin, Meritus Marina. My workplace belongs to the Millenium & Copthorne Group. We are only 4 star deluxe hotel. Not very popular so must be quite a hard guess for you. Give you guys another big hint, the hotel is near toy ‘r’ us.

Just got back from another feast at lau pa sha with my colleague and my ex colleague. Had stingray, chilli prawn, satay, strawberry ice-cream and mango ice. Yummy. The chilli prawn was really good but I had to use my hands to de-shell. Troublesome. Din take any pix this time cos my hands were dirty. Too bad.

Just got back from chomp² for supper with jason, sam, hageta, yc. Whilst waiting for my hair to dry, why not blog right. I was chatting with jason this afternoon when I suddenly got craving for chomp² food. So I jio everyone who’s available around the area for supper. And half the time they were talking about army stuff. Interesting yet I dun understand what they’re talking about. And instead of being a nice soldier and explain the terms to me, they laff at my limited knowledge of NSF. Sux… he does that to me too. Maybe that’s why he gave up talking to me about his work. Am I that bad???

Ok, I’ll talk about food den… was planning to have a big feast but since everyone (except me) was not hungry, we only ordered stingray, squid, and satay.

The sugarcane was really hugh and I manage to finish 70% of it. Well, that’s because the sambal was killing me.

We couldn’t finish the squid. Only took like 1/4 of it. So pathetic.

So I was suppose to go watch the fireworks at Marina Bay yesterday. But I ended up eating my hearts out at Swensens. Having fish & chip cum crayfish pasta and not forgetting ice-creams! Followed by movie : Land of the Dead which was totally draggy and dumb. Ironically, I got to view a display of fireworks in the movie. So my mission for the day was accomplished.

Met fen after work today. Walked around for a while den we sat down at spinelli to chill and continue our gossiping. Just love talking to her, cos she’ll talk about her frontline experience at the bank, I’ll talk about my frontline experience at the hotel and we exchange stories about how idiotic some guest, customers are. Den she’ll talk about her bf and I’ll talk about him. Den we talk about what we have done, what happened… and so on. Ooo… 2 more weeks before he’s back. If only he can call again… shuck. Ok… need to stop thinking of him.

Hey yo, sorry for the lack of update. To make it up, I have some eye candies just for my readers!

Finally done with my 5 midnight shift. It’s super tiring. And the last night was horrendous. People keep coming to check-in. I only got to start my arrivals after system down, about 1.30am. But I still manage to finish the basic by 3pm. Top up stock, took my break… and started feeling bored. Took some photos with my phone.

One of the 5 midnight shift, there was error with the system and even after morning shift started working, the night auditor couldn’t get the system to run properly. Imagine running a hotel without system. Horrible. I stayed back until 11am.

Enough about work. Remember I lost my wallet? After constant nagging for a month by my parents, I finally got my butt down IAC Building to get my IC replace. Queue to take picture, $5.25 gone… Saw Hagen from Project Superstar too. He look surprisely short. Opps.. Got my papers, fill up the forms. And wait…

All in all, I took about 45 mins. Quite fast service although there were tons of people there. Took the train to Bugis and did abit of shopping while waiting for fen. Bought hairspray, porepack from watsons. Food scrub from Missha, and Shoppaholic ties the knot from Kino. Lucky, fen reach just as I was about to pay for the book. If not, I would have continued spending like there’s no tomorrow. Continued our shopping and she got herself a sailor black skirt. Nice… the cutting is like my Zara Pink sailor skirt but hers is half the price. *Heartpain* Jason came not long after and we went to Sakae for dinner.

Fen and Me!

I actually wanted vanilla ice-cream and we ordered thru the computer. The staff came to inform us they ran out of vanilla. *irritated* So I change my order to chocolate chip, same as fen. 5 secs later, we were told they ran out of chocolate chip too. *angry* So after telling us what they had left, we settle for strawberry.

Fen actually commented that the ice-cream was cold. *DUH*

Jason and fen finished their ice-creams like in 10 minutes… I took about 20. Damn… they are fast eaters. Same thing happened when we were drinking at starbucks. Had a great time reminiscing about poly days.

There was once we had our last exam paper. On the same day, we were suppose to check-in to our chalet room. Me and the guys actually went home, and started playing warcraft before heading down to the chalet. We were really crazy about warcraft at that time. Playing in school & home. We always play the 3 corridors map. I always use the charater with the bird. Den sam’s friend will release dogs to bit my character… Ok, I think you guys have no idea what I’m talking about. Those were the days…

Oh I almost forgot to mention, while having my dinner at Sakae, he called! Ok… he actually called 2 days ago, 3 missed calls from an overseas number. But I was sleeping… opps!

Went ktv with lin on wed. She took half day off so we could have more time together. Thanks sweetie. But we only manage to meet at 2.45pm instead of the agreed 1.30pm. We have no sense of timing. Head to cine Kbox and started screaming our head off. It’s been so long since I last scream into a microphone. Feels good. But den, during the whole session, there were a couple of ‘wolves’ lurking outside our room. It’s so freaky, we din dare go to the washroom at all. Fen came by after work and sang for an hour before we left that dangerous place. Went to NYDC for dinner outside Heeren. Food was good but I was too depress to enjoy it. Fen went out for a while to meet her friend. So me and lin were sharing some memories. It was great. Just recalling how silly some people are, in a very cute manner. Finally we 3 got together and spend some quality time. Yet, the 2 idiots had to go home at 7.30pm… to WATCH PROJECT SUPERSTAR!!! So upset, I’m not as important as some blardie project. So they rush home to watch their black box, and i went to watch ‘Wedding Crasher’. The shows ok, quite hilarious but I still like ‘Hitch’ better. I give ‘Wedding Crasher’ 3 out of 5 stars.

Random Thoughts…

It’s been 5 days and counting… I need to stop feeling depressed.

I need to start getting things done. i.e. visit the dentist, replace all my stolen cards including my wallet

I need to apply for leave soon, I seriously need a break. I’ve been working like crap and midnight shift followed by off day followed by morning shift = no off day cos I practically spend my off day catching up on my sleep. When is kimchi and step coming back?

My colleagues and I are planning to go watch Quidam! Finally…

I seriously need to pick up my Islander Card before they throw it into the bin. Sentosa anyone? I know it’s been raining alot lately but I miss the beach alot. Just imagine, lying on Siloso beach with a good book and listening to good music on my Ipod mini with great friends just beside me ready to share the latest gossips.

I miss school days alot.

I wanna change my room furniture. The whole set. And I still lack a TV. Too much electronic stuff in the room is not good so I need to reposition them away from my bed. But first I need my tv.

3 days down… 27 days to go…

I think I’m losing weight. I haven’t been eating much. I have 2 meals a day. And someone told me I slim down. *sad*. I dun have any appetite to eat lah. And I’m getting gastric recently. I can’t even finish the food during the comm ball. Wasted J’s money. Sorry neh. But it was fun. One of those guy, dunno wat rank or dunno what position he’s in, proposed to his gf that day. So sweet. Someone once told me, people who are more horizontally challenged, or abit on the chubby side, tend to find true love faster and sooner. Man.. I need to grow FAT.

Saturday was a very busy day for me. Work in the morning was busy all the way. Din even get my break. Only eat my lunch after 3pm. Imagine standing at the counter from 7am to 3pm. Finish up my paperwork, hop on a cab and rush home. Bath and prepare for the comm ball. Rush like mad. Thank goodness my hair never drop all over the place at the end of the day. Saw Victor there. *Shocked* Saw Say Peng there. *Super Shocked* Haa… Say peng use to be my supervisor during bqt-ing times. Still so arrogant looking. Hiaz… I actually have tons to write about the food, the music, abt that night, but no mood liao.

Received his call in the morning 5am to be exact on saturday. Din talk much cos I was still half asleep. Was busy the whole day (see above paragraph). Only got to msg him this morning. On my way out of the house, I saw the msg. “Im leaving for brunei tml. For one month.” A MONTH! Totally no mood for work. I so wanted to cry. On the bus, during briefing, at work. By right it shouldn’t make any diff cos I haven’t seen him for long. But it’s just so upsetting. Why muz he let me know right. Half the time I wish he just disappear from my life. Even when my big boss was giving briefing about something really important, my mind went blank. The whole night was horrible. Still feeling horrible.
