钢琴与小提琴

Chopin ValseNo14

Oh man, if only I could play like that. But I gave up piano in primary school cause my teacher was so fierce. *Guilty Look*

Fantasie Impromptu Op.66

This is one of my favourite piece. Shirin, remember? at plaza singapura? Haha.

But of course, my favourite musician has to be... Joshua Bell. Here's a peak of him at some rehearsal.

I first saw him on some documentary film. I was deeply impressed by his perseverance towards every single thing he does. Either you give 100% or you simply dun do it at all. Its freaking difficult to play a violin well. If you're tone deaf or even a little bit, you can't play the violin. And he does it so well. There are comments that he's intonation isn't as good as Hilary Hahn. But the expression is simply incredible lah. Especially when you apply this i-forgot-the-term technic whereby (explaining in layman term) you dun press down the string completely but just touching the surface of the string, creating another tune. This technic muz be super precise. I had some difficulty mastering this technic. Cos if the position is a little bit out (less than 1 mm), you can't get hold of that tune.

Well, I'm thankful my parents gave me an opportunity to learn. Sad to say, I haven been playing for years. It will definately sound bad when I do pick it up again. Haaa...
