Missing You

Recommending a new song... 'Missing You'.
Recorded on Track 4 of F.T Island's latest mini album: Jump Up.
Incorporating a familiar tune from Vivaldi's Winter with a Rock Band,
Classical + Rock = My Favorite.
And that classical piece is one of my favorite too.
*In the process of changing ringtone*

I'm lovin' it.

Keeping a pet is a lifetime commitment.

I finally met up with Li-fen for long session coffee at our favorite Starbucks outlet.
We talked about everything under the sun and moon.
From politics at work, my new career, dogs, school, friends etc.
Its always very rewarding to just have a talk and share our views.

We even saw Robin Leong with his puppy in his car while he did his errands.
Oh yes, I finally remembered the breed of dogs I wanna keep.
Yorkshire Terrier or Maltese. Toy breed basically. I can't handle big dogs.
They'll be the one dominating me if I take them for walks.
Hmm... most terrifying breeds for me will be bulldogs, boxers, and rottweiler.
Either case, people people... please do not buy a puppy from a pet shop
especially when it's less than 7 weeks old (ideally).

Currently there are at least 2 Siberian Husky and 1 Alaskan Malamute
up for adoption at SPCA. Do you know the temporary shelter is not air-conditioned?
Can you imagine how freaking hot the weather is for those poor kids.
I still think its not right to bring a thick coat breed to a tropical country,
well, unless you can afford 24hrs of air-con in a huge room.

No Cats in HDB

Apparently, a lot of people are unaware that
keeping cats in a HDB flat is illegal.

A Long Day

I miraclously woke up at 8.30am (although I set my alarm at 7.30).
Went swimming at Nicole's place with Sarah.
I can't even complete 1 lap without stopping.
Luckily, the pool dept is 1.2m. Which explains why I din drown.
We had sauna too... so shiok!
The pool is big.... there's even jacuzzi.
Ok, maybe other condo have jacuzzi too.. how would I know.
The facade of the condo looks nice.
But I was told the size of the apartment is really small.

We went to Kovan for lunch. Beef Kwey Tiao.
A big bowl for only $3.50, cheap cheap.
I also had my first hands-on experience with
the coin deposit machine @ POSB.
The machine is noisy... the coins are noisy...
but its feels good seeing the amount of money you've collected
subconsciously over a period of time grow.

Yes. I'm weird.... Whatever.

In the late evening, I went over to Gloria's new place.
I alight at the wrong bus-stop and had to walk a mile to get there.
The neighborhood looks really zen.
The flats look condo-like.
Nice... looks like I'll be hanging out at her place often.

The worst is yet to come

The weather I mean...
take today for example.

The temperature is at 33 degree Celsius
weather forecast 34 at highest
(information from AccuWeather.com)
The air is filled with toxic gas...
smoke from neighbouring countries forest fires, etc

And scientist says they 'underestimated' global warming...
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/7890988.stm
So... are you doing your part to preserve the earth for 1 second longer?

More needs to be done!

The Rice Project

A photography exhibition featuring the works of 10 photographers who want to turn the spotlight back on the Asian Tsunami survivors in Sri Lanka who are still waiting for new homes, five years on. Experience Sri Lanka’s soul as they capture the beauty of the island through the lens.

The works exhibited will be used to raise funds for the Habitat for Humanity Sri Lanka, a non-governmental organization that focuses on building simple, decent housing for the people living on the eastern coast of Sri Lanka. Donations are also welcome.

Friday the 13th

Internet is acting cranky today.
Singtel... are the servers on strike?!?!
Dun make me tap into other people's wireless (Ops!)

The reason for being so happy today?
Hmm... let's see now.
Oh! I'll be starting my new career path at Resort World, Sentosa.
So far everyone who knows my new workplace is like...

"Woah... Sentosa... So Fun..."

People, I'm going to be working while others are having fun.

Anyway, Resort World is only opening in 2010.
So in the mean time, I seriously dunno what I'll be doing.
Maybe the company will be nice enough to
send me to Universal Studio in Osaka, Japan.
Urgh... I've always wanted to go there!

Anyway, for those who really wanna work in
the oh-so-fun! sentosa,
check out their website,
I think there's still opening!
(Duh! they open in 2010)
Wahhaahahahhahaa!
I'm the happiest person on earth!

Cute song right?
Love+Piece+IceCream!
Soundtrack for the Korean Movie 'Baby & I'
Soooooo KAWAiiiiiIIIIIiiiiIII.

Baby Mason is so cute...

Why can't work be enjoyable for once?

BBQ at Chris' Place for dinner
Chicken, Beef, Sausages, Prawns...
Ex-OHS Staff, Present-OHS Staff, New-OHS Staff

Seriously, every time I meet up with these guys,
there's always shocking news.
I really feel sad when my colleagues get bullied.
Sad that I can't do anything for them anymore.
Only to let the management take advantage of the situation.
So I can only pray...
that things will miraculously turn better one way or another...

soon...

Meanwhile, be strong guys!

赤壁

I was in a bad mood,
so I treat myself to movie today...

Red Cliff II was really impressive.
How Zhuge Liang got 100,000 arrows within 3 days...
How he foretell the weather so accurately.

Makes me wanna read the Art of Warfare & Three Kingdoms.
Life is all about the battle of the wits eh.

Devil's Number... 666?

The previous post was the 666th post.
I have yet to finish updating my previous years' entries into blogger.
Urgh... 2003, 2004, 2005...

Went to Geylang for dinner with Ella, Sarah & Nicole.
We needed to use the restroom but refuse to use those at the foodstall
so we head down to Bugis... for clean toilet's sake.

Had coffee session at Starbucks before heading home.

It was great seeing all my ex-colleagues doing... well?!
Haaa... at least everyone's healthy and living. ^_^

As mention in my previous entry (in japanese),
January's over in a flash.
Heading down to Xueyin's place for Mahjong.
Looking forward...
あああ... 1月が終わりですよ
