Busy Busy Busy

Hey guys, I've been real busy with work and friends. I hardly spend time at home anymore. Imelda (ex-colleage) came to Singapore for a visit. I took urgent leave on monday to accompany her. Haa, actually I couldn't wake up. We spend the whole day shopping at Jurong Point. I never knew I can spend such a long time in such a small mall. We covered almost every inch of that mall. We went NTUC for some grocery shopping. Fun fun. Went back to the hotel to clear up some work while waiting for Step and Jufri to finish their shift at 11pm. Me and mel end up at Beer Garden waiting the World Cup. Damn fun watching Germany score. And our Beer Garden screen was HUGH. Went back to Jufri's cousin place to stay over for the night. Woke up late again the next day but had to drag myself to work. Din go home again. 3 nights in a row. Mel went back on wednesday. Hopefully we'll visit her in Kuching soon.

Spend the night at the hotel yesterday night too. Step had a room for the day so me and jufri bunk in for the night. Cheryl came over for dinner and brought pizza! Another busy week to come. More dinner and supper and shopping!

Tioman Trip Aftermath

Hello people. Sorry, have been neglecting this space. Been busy hanging out with friends after work practically everyday. Especially last week, everyday except for Friday, I went out with Cheryl, Step, Ash, Matt. Goodness. Ever since the Tioman Trip, we've been having lotsa activities. Going to Arab Street, Mustafa, Sentosa, Negara Hotel for buffet and so on. Everyday is a diff activity. And I simply love hanging out with them cos they open my eyes to new things. And because they drive, it's easier for us to commute at night when most of us are free.

The latest song 只对你说 by 林俊杰 is nice. Cheryl was looking for the song and asked if I have the CD, which was why I went to download the song for her. Den I got addicted myself. Baka.

I hope the class gathering comes soon. I miss my classmates alot. I hate to admit but I'm having difficulty completing all my work. It's endless. And piling up. I worked until 11pm today. Just imagine. 2 credit card dispute today. 1 stupid CPF talk which took up 1 hour of my time. Den pre-con meeting. I din even eat my lunch, or dinner. I ate only 1 piece of bread, 1 cup of milo that last me the whole day. Step bought milk for me. Else I think I would have fainted already. I know alot of people will scold me stupid for not eating, but when everyone's chasing you for something, and you table is in a mess, your in tray is overfilling, your phone keeps ringing, all appetite will be gone. I'm super worried. Credit meeting is next wed. How am I suppose to clear that 40 over pending accounts? Plus clear the discrepency invoices, plus order stock, plus other misc administrative stuff? Plus handling complains, and replying emails. This funny company actually emailed asking for invoices in year 2004. What took them 2 years to figure out they're missing some invoices. My gawd.

Random

Had a hugh argument with my Duty Manager yesterday. Spoil my mood the whole day. Met fen for Lunch, I vent all my frustration to her. Den I had dinner with Cheryl, Jufri, Stephen, Ashraf. Again, complain to Cheryl. I must be like some naggy old grandma going on and on about work. Haa.. work today was better even thou today's date is like 6.6.6 which happens to be Satan's number? Stephen came back to work although he's like off today. We met up with Cheryl, Ash, Matt for dinner at East Coast Park. Heard some surprising news. Anyway, their carpark coupon was valid until 10pm, we finished eating by 945pm. So we stood around their cars and did stupid things until 10pm, just to fully utilised the coupon. -_- whatever..

Good news. There's plans to go Japan for 2 weeks next April. Ash will do the planning. But becos of this plan, the Bali plan have to be cancelled. Well, you can't always have both worlds.

There's been rumours going on about me and him at work. He told me everywhere he go, people keep asking him the same question. "Are we together?" No... we're just friends. Even Ash asked. My gawd.

Da Vinci Code Movie

After work yesterday, I went home to take a shower and rush out of the house to meet up with Ash and Kelly for dinner near Centerpoint. Ash brought us to Little Japan for authentic jap food. It was so authentic I din know what to eat. I couldnt finish my food since I had lunch at 2pm. Nevertheless, the food was good. After dinner, we head down to The Cathay to purchase movie tickets. We walked all the way to Bugis for a little shopping before going to Carlton Hotel to chill at their bar. I saw an ex-bqt colleague there. She recognise me too, but I can't remember her name. :p They were broadcasting soccer match between jamica (spelling?) and england. 0-6. My goodness. Their sofa is very comfy. We chilled there while waiting for the rest to arrive. Matt came, follow by Cheryl who was high and making alot of noise. Too much in fact. We were all so embrassed. Stephen was the last to arrive.

Before we depart for the show, Stephen had to park his motorbike in the carpark. While waiting at the lobby, we saw United Airline Crew coming in, and Emirates Airline Crew leaving. Busy busy midnight shift. The Duty Manager on shift was really old. Unlike our workplace. The movie is quite interesting. But not everyone will enjoy it. Those action lovers, can forget about watching this. It's alot of mind drilling stuff. We walked back to Carlton to pick up the car and drop Cheryl back home first before heading to Geyland for some Tao Huay. Yummy. Ashraf den suggested going to this Changi place to enjoy the sea breeze. But sadly, the air was still. Still, the sight of so many stars was really enjoyable. Stephen saw shooting star. I stare at the sky for yonks but saw none. :(

We slept on the port for a while until the sun was up before we head to Changi for breakfast and head home. What a Sat night.

Tioman & KL Trip (21-25 May 2006)

Ok.. the long awaited post is here. Lotsa pictures and some videos. Better be prepared.

We met up at Bugis as early as 9am in the morning. Took a bus to go thru the checkpoint. After we reach JB, we took a cab to Stephen's house to pick up his car. We drove to this big foodcourt for lunch before heading down to mersing. The drive was more than 2 hours. When we reach the port, this guy from dunno where approach us, he told us a speedboat to tioman just left a few minutes ago, but due to Ashraf's good relationship with some important people in their company, the boat actually turn back for us. Talk about VIP neh. Of course, while waiting, we took some pic.

We reach Tioman, Salang Beach in 45mins. The port was crowded with people leaving. It was a Sunday after all. We went to choose our accomodation first. The first room we saw was really bad. There was no hot shower and we had to climb a flight of stairs. The 2nd room was better but there were stairs too. We finally decided on this room which was facing the sea. Very very good view. Has hot shower and a tv with no channels.


First thing we did was to put our bags down and lie on the bed.

But this Stephen wanted to jump into the sea immediately.

We were rather reluctant to leave our beds but we changed and went for a dip in the clear waters.

I got to try the snorkel mask for the 1st time. Ash and step taught me how to breathe properly and get rid of the water in the tube. Ash den took me out further out into the sea. I saw lotsa fishes. So kewl, but halfway thru, I almost died. Haa, couldn't really float for long. I wasn't wearing flippers mind you. And I haven't been swimming for years. I kick with all my life. I choke and drank a mouthful of seawater. Ash was more pro. He only had goggles on.

After having a little premier of what's going to happen for the next 2 days, we went back, took a shower and had dinner.







After dinner, we took a stroll to the port.

We spot fishes circling near the port. Step ran back to the shops to buy some bread to feed them.



We bought poker cards and settle ourselves down at the only pub at this salang beach to play daidee. I had 1 cup of volka lime. Shiok. The seats were really comfy too.



DAY 2



We woke up around 10 plus.




It was low tide.

We had our brunch at the main cafe.

We went to rent lifejacket, flippers and mask for me and matt. We den swam swam sawm to the nearby rocks. Feed the fishes, and took silly pictures in the water. (I'll upload those pic when I go pick up the photos from the photoshop)

We had dinner at the cafe at night. The kampung fried rice we had that day was HUGH. We also had satay and vege and prawns. We were all so shag after dinner we went back to take a nap. It was decided that we can't just waste the night away sleeping so after 45mins, we drag ourselves up. Den it was poker time again at the club.

DAY 3

We are going diving today! I mean, step and ash is going diving today.

After being out at sea for the whole day, we snorkel again. It was freaking tiring and I couldn't swim anymore. So I float on the lifejacket while step drag me around to feed the fishes. I wore ash's glove and grab the fishes. I even hold a sea cucumber. Shiok!

After dinner, we had the usual poker and drinks. We head back for bed much earlier and slept. Woke up next morning at 7am to catch the 930 ferry back to mersing.

We had roti canai for breakfast at mersing before heading down to KL and meet up with aug and sheena.

We met up with aug on the road. Aug was 20km in front of us and we had to chase them. Instructions for aug was to drive slowly but I think he was going 100km/h

We finally caught up with him. It wasn't really diff to spot his car.

We finally reach KL after 2 hours journey. Check in to Capitol Hotel and prepared ourselves for a little shopping.

Step bought us to this place where they sell all the spicy seafood. Very nice but very hot.

After walking around, we need to head back to the hotel. We took the train. It was rather tricky.

After going back to the hotel, we took a shower and plan to go clubbing. Unfortunately! Step's car battery was low and he couldn't start his car. Sheena, Ash and Matt went for foot massage, Me and Aug had a drink at a nearby pub while we wait for the battery replacement to come.

We drank 1 bottle of Chivas that night. It was a miracle all of us went back to the hotel in one piece.

The next morning,

We checked out, pick up our photos that we took using the underwater camera, had lunch, went swensen for ice-cream before heading back to JB
