Last day of work in 2006

And the day started with me, late for work, again... for the umpteen time. It was busy busy today, I finished up most of my work and help out at the Reception Counter for a while. I was officially off duty at 1pm but I had to wait for Mr. Busy aka Dar Dar to finish work at 3pm. And since I was bored, and he was occupying my table, I snapped a pic of him. As always, on the phone...



Everybody loves to plant their butt at my table. It's a very 'prosperous' place. After work, I head down to 'That Pasta Restaurant at Taka Basement' for dinner.



I had my usual Slipper Lobster Pasta, which still taste absolutely delicious. They renovated the place, and now it feels really bright and spacious. We went to Pacific Plaza to get my watch batt changed and ordered my new strap. And within 10 mins, I was home. Last day of year 2006 and say hello to a brand new year.

Xmas Season

I went back to work today after resting at home for 5 days. It was raining heavily in the morning at like 5am, cos I could hear the SBS Bus go by. I took a cab to work since my ez-link card is with Dar Dar who is sound asleep at home in Malaysia. The comfort hotlink was jam up, I had to wait like 10mins to get my cab. Late for half an hour. Shit. I think I've been late everyday for this month. Hope it doesn't affect my bonus.

I spend the whole day clearing the pending accounts. Adjusting the room rate, posting and allowancing. My paperwork was like any normal morning shift paperwork. Maybe even thicker. But, it's ok, this shows I'm hardworking. Haa~ Din manage to do other stuff for today thou. My office was filled with chocolate, from Merci to Unknown Brand, and they left it all on my desk, for everyone's easy access and to mock at me perhaps, cos I take freaking half an hour to finish one Merci stick. Shit! And the staff cafe special menu today had to be Burger. It's so thick, it can't fit into my mouth. And our EAM, No. 2 in the hotel had to come down in the morning to tease me about my puffy cheeks. T...T

Anyhow, I survived the day, it's still raining, I hope it stops tml cos I wanna go shopping. Till then, Merry Christmas to everyone. The festive is too commercialise and it seems more like a New Year Holiday then a Christmas cos everyone's celebrating. !?!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Bloated

I'm stuck at home. My face is bloated like a big charsiew bun. The 2 things I do at home, sleep and watch tv/surf internet. Thankfully I have a good set of home entertainment.

3 down, 1 to go

So I went for my wisdom tooth extraction surgery today. I had to wait for more than an hour since the previous patient had some complications. The nurse politely explained to me the situation, she probably think that by doing so would make the waiting less painful but my imagination went wild, especially seeing Dr Tan run in and out of the clinic like some life and death scenario. Anyway, I finally got into the surgical room, took my pills and injection (*ouch*). The operation was shorter than the waiting. After much drilling and pulling and knocking, it was all over. I was in a daze. I couldn't even tell if they took 1 or 2 teeth out. The whole thing caused me 60bucks. Why so cheap? Cos the rest of the cost is deducted from my medisave. Total cost was actually 510bucks. It's even cheaper than my previous extraction, which cost me a whooping 700++, that's only 1 tooth extraction mind you. Puzzled? Well, that's cause they had to run a lab test for the alien growth found in my gum if that will refresh your memory. Anyhow, it was a cryst but thankfully, it was out.

Since this aint my virgin operation, I took things more steadily. I could eat after a few hours and the bleeding didn't affect me much. I already have plans to go out for some shopping but the swollen mouth and mild pain is alittle too much to bear for now. Maybe I'll go shopping tml. I hope the swelling subside soon. I have lots to do before the year ends. No picture of me and my swollen mouth this time. Boo!

Countdown to 2007

One more day before the dental surgery. Two more days before fen flies off. Five more days before Christmas and the celebration for the birth of christ. Yr 2006 is coming to an end, and starting of a new chapter in yr 2007. I have not been good this year, I did not fulfill any new year resolution set a year ago. But I hope I have been good enough to be granted a simple wish, to all my families and friends to be healthy and happy, all colleagues to be less stressful as the hotel occupancy dips for the festive period, and to keep my loved one safe from harm. And also for me to muster the courage to tell my Boss that I've had enough... of paperwork. Ok, the wish is quite a big one. Boo... Wish me all the best for the sugery. Afterall, there are risk involved, I might get paralysed if one of my nerves is damaged. Ok... I'm blowing things out of proportion here. Haa.

NG LI FEN, if you happen to read my blog before flying off, HAVE A GOOD TIME THERE OK. AND MR KOH TY, YOU BETTER TAKE GOOD CARE OF HER, else I'll take out all my CPF saving and fly to Canada to hunt u down.

I dun like the weather these days. It's rain rain and more rain. It's making me sick.

On another note, we're having a farewell dinner before fen flies off to horrorland on friday. They're so mean to schedule the dinner on thursday, hours after my surgery. Shit.

Bye Bye Wisdom

I am about to experience yet another round of teeth extraction this thursday. But this time, double the pain as I'm getting both wisdom teeth on my right taken out. And it's gonna cost me a bomb. 500 bucks per tooth. Luckily, my dental clinic got this new medisave scheme so I can deduct 200 bucks per tooth and pay the rest in cash. It's gonna be horrible christmas for me this year since I'm be restricted to eating mashy stuff. I wan my taohuay!! Dar Dar's working schedule is not out yet, but I really hope he can ferry me to the dentist and back home. But, I dun wanna get my hopes too high, shall set aside some money for taxi.

I attended an in-house course "who moved my cheese". It was all about changes and blah blah blah. We had a few interesting games in between and it was fun while it lasted. Because the course was taught in a very theory based manner, I got a little bored so I took some photos...

This was one of the games we played. We had to take a normal straw and try to poke the straw thru the potato. Only a few managed to succeed. I only managed to get potato juice.
